A good article on why Twitter won’t last.

The problem, as I see it, is with advertising. Vast numbers of companies are already advertising on Twitter- for free. So for many of them, it doesn’t make sense to pay for advertising which they can get for free.

If Twitter want to keep advertisement revenue at the center of their business model, they’ll need a good bit of creativity to become profitable.
